The IMECO Construction Exporting and Importing Company, integrated to the OSDE of Construction Design and Engineering (GEDIC), subordinated to the Ministry of Construction (MICONS), has been the result of several mergers of importing and exporting companies in the sector. It was legally established in 1980 as the Central Supply Company (ECA), in February 1995 it was granted by the MINCEX the license to directly import and export construction products and technologies, a license that was extended and modified, together with changes in name and resolutions that supported its existence, leaving its current name of Exporting and Importing Construction Company (IMECO), through Ministerial Resolution No. 297 of July 11, 2011.

Execute foreign trade operations related to the import and export of equipment and general consumer goods, according to nomenclature approved by the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Foreign Investment.
