Cuban Foreign Minister Bruno Rodríguez today condemned the US government’s request for $ 20 million to carry out disinformation actions and promote confrontational courses against the Caribbean nation.

Through his official account on Twitter, the foreign minister denounced how Washington, which repudiates interference in its internal affairs, again opted for millionaire financing within the 2022 budget for ‘democracy programs’ directed to Havana.

“The lucrative machinery of subversion maintains destabilizing policies intact,” emphasized the head of diplomacy.

According to the Cubadebate portal, the budget request of the Joe Biden administration reaches 58.5 billion dollars for the State Department and the Agency for International Development, which represents an increase of 10 percent with respect to the of the current year.

The figures also include 810 thousand 396 million dollars destined for the United States Agency for Global Media, the entity responsible for supervising the Cuban Broadcasting Office, matrix of communication media such as Radio and TV Martí, with a marked counterrevolutionary line.

Similarly, the request contemplates 94 thousand 43 million dollars for the Office of Transition Initiatives of the International Agency for Development and other institutions linked to subversion programs against Havana.
