Member of the Political Bureau of the Party and Cuban Foreign Minister Bruno Rodríguez Parrilla denounced that Creative Associates International is a front for the U.S. government to design soft coups against the Island and other countries.

Through his Twitter account, the Foreign Minister shared an investigation by MintPress News on the use of that association by Washington to impose its world hegemony: “With a presence today in at least 85 countries, it employs soft power techniques and designs operations of regime change and political transitions,” said Rodríguez Parrilla.

In detailing Creative Associates International, he said that “for years it worked in Cuba, in complicity with the CIA and other government agencies, promoting various projects aimed at overthrowing our government,” he emphasized.

In a report entitled Creative Associates International (CAI): not exactly the CIA, but close enough, the MintPress News project denounces that, in the last 20 years, the U.S. government granted Creative Associates 1,998,138,515 dollars in contracts for the company’s activities in the Greater Antilles.

It further explains that “for years, Creative Associates International worked closely with the CIA and other government agencies, operating and overseeing an array of projects aimed at overthrowing the communist government.”

“Creative Associates’ most infamous project was perhaps the creation of a Twitter-like application called Zunzuneo,” adds the investigation, which also exposes how the U.S. government wanted to hide its own role in the creation of the application, secretly trying to convince Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey to buy the company as a front man.
