The Ministry of Foreign Trade and Investment of Cuba (MINCEX) announced on Saturday the suspension of the 38th edition of the Havana International Fair (FIHAV), corresponding to this 2021, due to the global epidemiological situation caused by the COVID-19.

According to MINCEX on its official website, as an alternative to that event, the II Cuba 2021 Business Forum (FECuba2021) will be held virtually, with the participation of Cuban and foreign companies, non-state management forms, entrepreneurs, businessmen and others interested in investment opportunities in the largest of the Antilles.

This virtual forum already had a first edition last year, due to the impossibility of holding face-to-face meetings because of the pandemic affecting the world since the end of 2019.

The Cuban Foreign Trade entity also informed that for the realization of said Forum, the relevant authorities will provide more information in the coming days.

FIHAV is the most important general trade exchange in Cuba and the Caribbean, and one of the most representative in Latin America, which was scheduled to be held every year in November.
